where can you buy a pre-paid credit card?

visa or mastercard

Most banks sell them now. There is a small fee, like $3.00 at some banks. Last time I checked my bank (Commerce http://www.commerceonline.com ) did not charge a fee. They are located in NY, NJ, DE and a few other states. Check the fees before you purchase because they can vary greatly.

American Express has a variety of gift cards designed for special occasions such as birthdays:

im wanting to buy a guitar from a site that needs a credit card or debit card will these prepaid visa cards work i need to knowe for sure so dont just answer to answer thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

absolutely. I know for a fact that pre-paid cards from www.rushcard.com will definitely work. They are accepted everywhere.

But it would be so much easier to open a bank account and use the debit card from your bank.

Where can you get Pre-Paid Credit Cards? And what are the different prices you can get?

Banks offer a range of credit cards that allow you to put as much or as little money on it as you wish, so you’re really spending it without incurring any interest. Similar to spending cash but using a card instead.

See your local bank for more options on pre-paid cards. They come in handy and better than credit cards.

What are some Pre-paid credit cards?

I’m 14 and nobody is giving me a straight answer on pre-paid credit cards. What are some pre-paid credit card companies and where can I get one? I don’t want to buy it from the internet but go to the store and buy it. Most people also said I need to give the people my date of birth and social security # because of the PATRIOT ACT.

Visa pre-paid gift-credit card Question?

Over the summer from coke rewards I got a Visa pre-paid gift-credit card that can be used anywhere like a credit card provided there is money on the card. Recently I purchased something and later found out the company (Vista Print) may try to activate a 14.95 / month subscription each month. My card has $0.41 left and I don’t care if it gets canceled. You can’t put more money on the card and theoretically it can’t be overdrawn. Any purchase over will not be completed.

Question: what if the subscription thing tries to charge the card after I have canceled it or the "card that won’t allow overdrawing" tries to get charged by the Vista Print? What will happen?

Did the card have your name on it, or did it say "gift recipient"? If it just said recipient, nothing to worry about. If it had your name on it, then they could find you.

In either case, unless you signed a contract, you really have nothing to worry about. The charge will be put through, there will be no money ad it will be denied. End of story.

Anyone know what Canadian website to visit to find that new pre-paid type credit card usable thru ATMs?

I bank in the GTA [Greater Toronto Area], just outside of Toronto, Ontario. I have heard it is called a "rush card"? I am currently studying a reputable online course and wish to be able to utilize it more efficiently by having a credit card; I know myself well enough to realize I would be too generous in nature to have a standard credit card, and so I would like to be able to build pre-paid credit. Nevermind bothering to figure out loopholes in the contract’s legal terms for me; I am good with understand the fine print to avoid contract illegalities. :) I bank with a very reputable one, CIBC [Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce], and so I would appreciate being able to utilize the card thru a CIBC ATM.

Home Trust have a secured Visa with a minimum of $1,000. you can contact me at http://albertamortgageguy.com if you have any questions
