I currently have a green dot master card, but they charge my account every month for a maintenance fee, which wasn’t always done. I need to get a pre-paid card through a less money hungry company. Any suggestions? p.s. i’m OKAY with paying for the money pak, but the monthly fee is ridiculous. ( i know other cards require the money pak which again is fine. it’s the crazy fees beyond the reload fee )

either a quidity card or idt prime card, I’ve used quidity before where you pay a one of fee for the card and an annual 4.75 and of course a 2% charge on each use. If you top up via post office or bank transfer it doesn’t cost either

I am trying to get the best credit card possible, I have fair credit and looking to improve my credit. I ask for help cause I don’t know anything about credit cards…

First off, prepaid credit cards are a good solution for anyone who does not want to be tied down to a banking institution, anyone wanting a more secure way to carry their money than simply cash, or anyone having troubles being approved for a credit card. If you already have "fair" credit and are able to obtain a regular credit card, by all means this will be the best route for you to go if you are looking to improve your credit score.

Many prepaid credit cards require start-up and other hidden fees. Additionally, very few of these cards actually report to the credit agencies and those that do usually require long-term commitments through signing up for "credit-builder" programs. So I guess what I’m trying to get across is that these types of credit cards should be a last resort. If you can qualify for a traditional credit card, this by far should be your best option as far as improving your credit score.

I’m looking for a pre-paid credit card that allows ATM cash withdrawals. I know the pre-paid credit cards can be purchased at just about any store, but are there any that allow ATM cash withdrawals?

There are NO pre paid credit cards.

Credit cards essentially are Post-Paid. As the name suggests you will get a credit period to pay back the cost of goods and services obtained using the credit card.

Credit cards CAN be used at ATMs. But sometimes card issuers have imposed limitations on ATM cash withdrawals through credit cards. In some cases you may have to pay a premium for taking cash from Credit Cards.

But you can get a Smart Card, which is a kind of pre-paid card. Depending of the issuer (eg. Bank, Credit Card co) you can use this card at ATMs or use to pay for goods and services obtained from authorized merchants.

You can use your Smart Card as long as there is a credit balance in the card account. Most Smart cards can be re-valued by making a deposit with the issuer. The card will become obsolete once the credit balance becomes zero.

With a Smart Card you will learn to control your spending.
Go for a Smart card rather than a Credit Card.
