Hello,

Well after a little more research I have found the only way to buy things off ebay at my age of 16 is to buy a prepaid credit card which is avalible to those under 18..apparently. Now do you guys know what banks have these? Do all of them have it or..I’m a T.D Bank not sure if they do?
And does anyone know if i can have access to prepaid credit cards at my age?

Yes, you can purchase them. Any place like Krogers, Wal Mart, ect… sell pre paid credit cards. They are located with the gift cards (examples… olive garden, adidas, bed bath & beyond, amazon, ect..), usually on an end-of-aisle display, near the registers. There is usually a small fee (around $5), plus the amount you wish to put on the card, of course.
As for the banks, they probably vary.

You can also have a PayPal account with just a credit card so you don’t even have to provide access to a bank account.

Where would i buy one of those pre-paid gift cards, like the visas and things. I was looking to buy something online and im tired of using my moms card.

Yeah, you can get them. Try the grocery store, they keep those with the calling cards. You can add cash to them and use them anywhere they except visa, mc. ect.

What are the difference between those two. Also can you buy stuff online with them?

I’ve actually never heard of a prepaid credit card. Credit means you are borrowing money. There is however a secured credit card. This means you open up a savings account of some kind and use it as collateral in case you default on the credit card.

It is possible that people might think that a prepaid debit card is a credit card because there is could be a Visa or MasterCard logo on it. For example, an ATM card is actually a debit card but can be used like a credit card.

Most banks offer these. If you can’t open a checking account, visit your local Wal-Mart. They sell you the card for about 5 dollars and then charge you to load money onto them.

You know how they have those credit card things that you can buy with cash and then you can like buy stuff online with them.? If you know what I’m talking about, do you know where you get them?

You can get them at Rite Aid, Giant Eagle(if you live in Pittsburgh), CVS, Walmart, Target, or just about any store that has gift cards.
